Year 1

I've taught Generations of Grace SS lessons for over 8 yrs. Love the curriculum and the parents love the devotional material. Love that the lessons connect the phrophets with the lesson and the NT with the OT.

Amazing Help!!

I am able to clearly speak theology in words that my children can understand. There’s nothing better than that when you are wanting to plant the seeds and tell your precious children about the Lord. Thank you to John MacArthur and his ministry team - you all are affecting the lives of others all over the world and I am grateful for what you do!

Love it

We use this in our homeschool daily. It is designed to pair with a Sunday school curriculum that covers the same key topics weekly, and this book breaks down each key topic into five lessons to cover Mon-Fri. However, since we are not part of a fellowship that uses the corresponding Sunday school curriculum, I do sometimes combine 2-3 days of lessons into one if they seem repetitive since we can move through the topics at our own pace. (The early weeks felt like we were moving through topics at a slow pace, so I sped us through a bit, but for the second half I didn't have to do that as much). I bought Year 2 and 3 because this is working so well for us. It has an easy-to-follow layout and lesson structure - Read, explain, discuss. We read the assigned passage aloud together, explain and discuss it, and then in a notebook I just have our kids copy the title of the lesson and the date, draw a picture, and write a key verse or note underneath. I like how simple it is and how it helps guide us through the Word chronologically without skipping around too much except to bring in relevant NT passages to bear on the OT passage we are reading. It also consistently frames explanation/discussion in light of Christ. We spend about 30-60 minutes a day on it with my two girls ages 10 and 9. It does not require lesson preparation in advance (though I did prepare in advance for two lessons: election-because of the trickiness of this topic, and the tabernacle-because I thought visuals would be really useful to picture its' construction and materials).
