A Unique Online Resource
At generationsofgrace.com, Sunday School administrators and teachers can find a unique online resource designed for those who desire to teach the whole counsel of God to the next generation.
Generations of Grace is a biblically based and God-centered curriculum designed for children three years old through the sixth grade. Over a three-year period, this curriculum covers the Old Testament historical books, the life of Christ, and lessons from Acts and Revelation.
Every week, children in each age range learn from the same passage of Scripture in a way that is appropriate for their respective age levels. We call this a "unified curriculum." A unified curriculum enables families to discuss one passage together each week, reinforcing the lesson that children have learned in Sunday School.
Generations of Grace is unique in its design to encourage a high degree of interaction between student and teacher. For students in the elementary grades, the Bible lessons are written in a question-and-answer format. This ensures that students participate in and understand each lesson. We have also included key truths, objectives, and application points to the beginning of each lesson to help teachers clearly understand what they want their students to learn. Furthermore, we have provided ideas and activities that will increase the students' understanding and recall of the lesson.
Benefits of GoG Online
Generations of Grace is designed to be cost efficient for the budget of a small church and flexible to the changing needs of the classroom. Many curricula require that multiple materials be purchased in order to use the curriculum. For example, many curricula require student workbooks. These may range from $5-7 each per quarter. That means that it costs the church $20 to $28 per student each year. That is in addition to the teacher manual and kit costs. For a class of 20 students, the cost beyond the basic curriculum can be more than $400 a year. Using Generations of Grace, crafts, work sheets, and coloring pages can be photocopied for the number of students in the class. If the class size changes over time, the number of copies printed can be adjusted, saving money and waste.
Purchasing Generations of Grace over the Internet has several benefits. The first is that it is less expensive. The cost of paper, production, packaging, and shipping are eliminated so that the curriculum is being sold for more than 40% less than the paper version. Secondly, the curriculum now is available at any time for the Sunday school administrator. No longer do churches have to wait for their shipment to arrive. Thirdly, churches will be able to receive the most current version of the curriculum. As we go through the revision process, we will post the most updated version when it becomes available for download. Fourthly, there are additional electronic documents that will be available. For example, there are parent resource material that can be put into a weekly bulletin, along with extra artwork that can be used for classroom projects and crafts.
Biblically Based and God-Centered
Generations of Grace is a unique resource.
There are very few Sunday School curricula that truly are based on God’s Word. Many claim to teach the Bible and do refer to verses at times but are really just simplistic moral lessons extrapolated from Scripture. Generations of Grace is designed to magnify God by studying His character in the pages of Scripture. We can better understand who He is and how we are to respond to Him by studying how His redemptive plan has unfolded and how He has used men to accomplish His purposes.
Generations of Grace is a Bible-based, God-centered curriculum that is designed for children three years old through the sixth grade. It is broken down into three levels:
||EC or Early Childhood (ages 3–5)
||EL or Early Elementary (grades 1–3)
||JR or Juniors (grades 4–6)
Every Sunday, children in this age range learn from the same passage of Scripture in a way that is appropriate for their respective age levels. We call this a “unified curriculum”. We have included teaching ideas, activities, and crafts appropriate for each level.
In the second edition of the curriculum we will provide parent resource material to assist in discipleship in the home.

What You Get
When you order Generations of Grace, you will receive an entire year of lessons for a particular level. For example, if you order year one of the EC level, you will receive enough lessons for a teacher to teach any number of 3-5 year-olds for one year. Each lesson contains four parts: Prepare with the Truth, Point to the Truth, Proclaim the Truth, and Practice the Truth.
The Prepare with the Truth section begins with the Lesson Overview and Teacher Planning Sheet. The lesson overview gives the teacher a summary of the lesson’s goal, specific objectives/key truths, the key verse, and applications. This page is designed to guide the teacher’s study and preparation for the week. The objectives page sets the framework to guide what the students should learn.
The Point to the Truth section gives the teacher ideas for how to begin the lesson. It includes ideas to review old lessons. It also builds interest and anticipation for the coming Bible lesson.
The Proclaim the Truth section gives ideas for presenting the lesson, along with worship ideas. For the early elementary (EL) and juniors (JR) levels, Leadoff Questions are given to teach in a question-and-answer format. Lead off questions (LOQs) take the students through the text and cause them to interact with the passage. In the early childhood (EC) level, this process is simplified to a more traditional approach of story telling with questions at the end of the lesson.
The Practice the Truth section contains review ideas, work sheets, crafts, and coloring pages that review the facts of the lesson, along with ideas to spark personal application.
